410S Sheets and Plates of Stainless Steel consist of about 11.5–13.5% chromium and low carbon levels (≤ 0.08%), which improve the oxidation resistance and reduce weld cracking risk. Being a low-carbon, non-hardening version of 410 stainless steel, SS 410S is characterized by good ductility, moderate mechanical strength (tensile strength ~390–585 MPa), and superior thermal fatigue resistance. These characteristics result in steel being easier to form, weld, and fabricate relative to conventional 410 grades.
