Mumbai-based Harsh Metalloys is a prominent producer and supplier of high-quality stainless steel sockets, extensively utilized for piping connections in corrosive and high-pressure conditions. With precision engineering and durability in design, our stainless steel sockets provide leak-proof and secure connections in piping systems. Produced to international specifications, stainless steel sockets are stocked in different sizes and pressure categories to meet industrial, commercial, and engineering requirements. Harsh Metalloys caters to a broad customer base in industries like oil & gas, chemical processing, water treatment, and construction, providing long-lasting and reliable socket fittings with quality and performance commitment.
Harsh Metalloys’ stainless steel sockets are generally produced from grades such as 304, 304L, 316, and 316L, with chromium (18–20%), nickel (8–12%), and molybdenum (2–3% in 316/316L). These compositions provide superior corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance, and high-temperature resistance. The mechanical characteristics are tensile strength of 485–620 MPa, good elongation, and outstanding pressure-handling capacity. Our stainless steel sockets are forged or machined to precise sizes, providing excellent weldability, structural integrity, and long service life in challenging environments.

Stainless steel sockets are highly resistant to corrosion due to their chromium content, but they may corrode under extreme conditions, such as exposure to harsh chemicals or seawater. Regular maintenance ensures longevity.
Stainless steel sockets can attract magnets if they are made from ferritic or martensitic stainless steel, which contain magnetic properties. However, austenitic stainless steel, commonly used, is non-magnetic.
Yes, stainless steel sockets can be recycled after use. Stainless steel is a highly recyclable material, and recycling it helps reduce environmental impact while conserving valuable resources.
Yes, stainless steel sockets can be used for underground applications. Their corrosion resistance makes them suitable for harsh environments, ensuring durability and performance in buried or underground installations.
Stainless steel sockets find widespread application in piping systems where strength, corrosion resistance, and reliable connections are crucial. They occur in oil and gas refineries, chemical facilities, water supply systems, food and beverage establishments, and maritime use. They are suitable for small-diameter, high-pressure pipe coupling, and they offer a solid joint when used in weld or threaded forms. They are easy to install, dependable, and require low maintenance, which makes them popular for use in industrial and commercial piping systems. Harsh Metalloys provides tailored socket fittings to suit individual project requirements, providing superior performance and global quality standards compliance.
