Harsh Metalloys, a reputable manufacturer and supplier based in Mumbai, India, specializes in high-quality Stainless Steel 347/347H Sheets and Plates. These products are perfect for environments that experience high temperatures, high pressures, and corrosive conditions. SS 347 is an austenitic stainless steel that’s stabilized with niobium (columbium) to help prevent intergranular corrosion, while SS 347H is the high-carbon variant that offers better creep resistance and mechanical strength when exposed to elevated temperatures. Manufactured according to ASTM A240 standards, these sheets and plates come in a variety of thicknesses, widths, and finishes to cater to the diverse needs of industries like petrochemical, power generation, and chemical processing.
Stainless Steel 347/347H Sheets and Plates are composed of 17–20% Chromium and 9–13% Nickel, with Niobium (Nb ≥ 10xC) added for resistance to carbide precipitation. SS 347H features a higher carbon content (0.04–0.10%) compared to SS 347, which boosts its creep strength in high-temperature applications. These alloys boast tensile strengths ranging from 515–690 MPa and offer excellent oxidation and corrosion resistance up to 870°C. They are non-magnetic in their annealed state, highly formable, weldable, and resistant to scaling, making them ideal for extended exposure to high heat and chemical environments.
