Stainless Steel 13-8 PH Sheets and Plates consist mainly of 12.25–13.25% chromium, 7.5–8.5% nickel, 2.0–2.5% molybdenum, and a controlled percentage of aluminum for precipitation hardening. These alloys offer very good mechanical properties like tensile strength up to 1310 MPa, yield strength in excess of 1170 MPa, and hardness up to 46 HRC in the condition H1000. SS 13-8 PH offers very good resistance to stress corrosion cracking and high toughness both in transverse and in longitudinal direction. These plates and sheets can be heat-treated to attain different strength levels while retaining good formability and weldability.
