Stainless Steel 317 Sheet and Plates contain approximately 18–20% chromium, 11–15% nickel, and 3–4% molybdenum, with a maximum carbon content of 0.08%. This composition offers excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and chemical attacks. The material has a minimum tensile strength of 515 MPa and a yield strength of 205 MPa, with good ductility and toughness even at elevated temperatures. These mechanical properties, combined with enhanced corrosion resistance, make SS 317 ideal for use in aggressive chemical environments and high-temperature applications where durability and structural integrity are essential.
