Stainless Steel 202 Sheets and Plates are made up of about 17–19% chromium, 4–6% nickel, and 7.5–10% manganese, along with trace amounts of carbon, silicon, phosphorus, and sulfur. They usually show a tensile strength between 515 to 750 MPa, a yield strength of around 275 MPa, and can elongate up to 40%. SS 202 provides moderate corrosion resistance, particularly in indoor settings and mildly corrosive environments. While it’s non-magnetic in its annealed state, it can become slightly magnetic after cold working. This material boasts excellent weldability, formability, and machinability, making it ideal for a wide range of fabrication processes.
