Stainless Steel 904L Tubing is an austenitic stainless steel alloy with a high content of chromium (19–23%), nickel (23–28%), molybdenum (4–5%), copper (1–2%), and low carbon. This unique composition provides excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking, especially in acidic and chloride-rich environments. The tubing exhibits tensile strength around 71 ksi (490 MPa), yield strength approximately 31 ksi (220 MPa), and elongation of 35%. It also maintains good toughness and weldability. 904L tubing is non-magnetic in all conditions and ideal for highly corrosive and high-pressure applications.
