316 Stainless Steel Tubing contains 16–18% chromium, 10–14% nickel, 2–3% molybdenum, and has a low carbon content, which improves resistance to general oxidation, crevice corrosion, and pitting. Mechanically, it delivers a tensile strength of about 515 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and elongation of about 40%. It also gives high toughness and retains mechanical strength even at cryogenic and high temperatures, providing ideal performance in high-pressure as well as corrosive service conditions.
