Stainless Steel 301 Tubing is made up of Chromium (16–18%), Nickel (6–8%), Carbon (≤0.15%), Manganese (≤2%), Silicon (≤1%), Phosphorus (≤0.045%), and Sulfur (≤0.03%). It boasts impressive mechanical properties, with tensile strength ranging from 620 to 930 MPa and yield strength between 275 and 520 MPa, depending on the degree of cold work. Typically, elongation is around 40%. SS 301 is known for its good corrosion resistance, high hardness, and excellent fatigue strength, making it ideal for dynamic or load-bearing applications. The tubing is non-magnetic in its annealed state but becomes magnetic when cold worked.
