Stainless Steel 422 Bars consist of around 12% chromium, 1% molybdenum, and 0.2–0.3% carbon with the addition of vanadium and tungsten for improvement in strength at high temperatures. This martensitic stainless steel offers optimum tensile strength (maximum 1035 MPa), corrosion resistance, and Rockwell hardness of approximately 50 HRC following heat treatment.
