Harsh Metalloys, a well-respected manufacturer and supplier located in Mumbai, India, specializes in high-quality Stainless Steel 348H Tubing designed for high-temperature and high-stress environments. SS 348H is a stabilized austenitic stainless steel alloy, enhanced with Columbium (Niobium) to boost its resistance to intergranular corrosion and to prevent carbide precipitation during welding. With a higher carbon content compared to SS 348, it offers better creep resistance and strength at elevated temperatures. Our SS 348H tubing meets ASTM A213 and ASTM A269 standards, ensuring outstanding performance in heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and furnace applications across the chemical, petrochemical, and power industries.
Stainless Steel 348H Tubing generally consists of 17–20% Chromium, 9–13% Nickel, and a higher Carbon content (0.04–0.10%) to enhance its strength at high temperatures. It’s stabilized with Columbium (C≥5xNb) to avoid sensitization during welding. This alloy boasts a tensile strength of about 515–690 MPa and excellent oxidation resistance at temperatures reaching up to 870°C. SS 348H is non-magnetic in its annealed state and maintains impressive mechanical properties even in extreme thermal conditions. Its exceptional creep and stress rupture resistance make it perfect for applications that require continuous exposure to high heat and pressure.
