Stainless Steel 439 Tubing consists mainly of 17–19% chromium with a presence of titanium as stabilizer and extremely low carbon levels. This ferritic alloy exhibits superior corrosion resistance, oxidation, and stress corrosion cracking resistance. It has good weldability and moderate strength in mechanics, with tensile strength of 415–450 MPa and good ductility. The titanium content increases intergranular corrosion resistance upon welding.
