Stainless Steel 904L Pipes are made from a super austenitic alloy composed of approximately 19–23% Chromium, 23–28% Nickel, 4–5% Molybdenum, 1–2% Copper, and low carbon. This composition provides outstanding resistance to sulfuric acid, chloride stress corrosion cracking, and pitting or crevice corrosion. 904L pipes exhibit tensile strength around 71 ksi (490 MPa), yield strength of 31 ksi (220 MPa), and excellent elongation (~35%).
