SS 348 Pipes are made from stainless steel containing 17–20% chromium, 8–13% nickel, and niobium (columbium) for stabilization. This alloying improves resistance to intergranular corrosion and maintains mechanical properties at elevated temperatures. SS 348 offers tensile strength of 515–760 MPa, yield strength of ≥205 MPa, and good ductility and weldability. It resists sensitization during welding and prolonged thermal exposure.
