Stainless Steel 418 Bars contain about 12% chromium, 0.15–0.25% carbon, and molybdenum, vanadium, and nickel additions for increasing strength and high-temperature applications. This martensitic stainless steel has excellent tensile properties up to 1000 MPa, high resistance to creep, and a Rockwell hardness of approximately 50 HRC when heated. It also possesses good oxidation resistance and fair corrosion protection in non-chloride environments.
