Harsh Metalloys is a reliable manufacturer and supplier of 348 Bars, located in Mumbai, India. Our stainless steel 348 bars are made from a niobium-stabilized austenitic alloy, specifically designed to provide exceptional resistance to intergranular corrosion and maintain strength at elevated temperatures. These bars are widely used in high-stress, high-temperature environments such as refineries, power plants, and chemical industries. With a commitment to quality and precision, Harsh Metalloys offers 348 bars in various sizes and specifications, meeting international standards. We ensure timely delivery and consistent product performance for demanding industrial applications.
348 Bars are composed of 17–20% chromium, 8–13% nickel, and are stabilized with niobium (columbium) to resist carbide precipitation. This alloy structure enhances resistance to intergranular corrosion, especially after welding or thermal exposure. These bars exhibit tensile strength of 515–760 MPa and a minimum yield strength of 205 MPa, with excellent ductility and formability. SS 348 bars maintain their mechanical properties under prolonged high-temperature service, offering excellent oxidation resistance, weldability, and non-magnetic behavior in the annealed condition, making them ideal for pressure-containing and thermal equipment.
