Stainless Steel 410 Bars are made up of 11.5–13.5% Chromium and up to 0.15% Carbon, along with small amounts of Manganese, Silicon, and Phosphorus. This unique composition gives SS 410 its martensitic structure, allowing for heat treatment that achieves tensile strengths between 500–700 MPa and hardness levels reaching up to 40 HRC. These bars offer good oxidation resistance up to 650°C and show moderate corrosion resistance in dry or slightly corrosive environments. Additionally, SS 410 bars are known for their good machinability and can be welded effectively with the right preheating and post-weld treatment.
