Stainless Steel 309S Bars consist of a high percentage of chromium (22–24%) and nickel (12–15%), which provides excellent resistance to oxidation and high-temperature corrosion. As a low-carbon version of SS 309, 309S offers improved weldability and minimizes carbide precipitation during welding and heating processes. These bars typically have a tensile strength of approximately 620 MPa, yield strength around 310 MPa, and exhibit good elongation and toughness even at elevated temperatures.
