Stainless Steel 317/317L forged fittings are created from a molybdenum-bearing austenitic stainless steel alloy, featuring 18–20% chromium, 11–15% nickel, and 3–4% molybdenum. The “L” grade is designed with lower carbon content to improve weldability and minimize the risk of intergranular corrosion. These fittings boast a tensile strength of about 515 MPa and a yield strength of roughly 205 MPa, providing excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in environments rich in chlorides and acids.
