Harsh Metalloys is a trusted manufacturer and supplier of Stainless Steel 316/316L Forged Fittings in Mumbai, India, catering to diverse industrial sectors with high-performance and corrosion-resistant piping solutions. Manufactured using premium-grade austenitic stainless steel, our SS 316/316L forged fittings are known for their excellent strength, weldability, and resistance to chloride-induced corrosion. The 316L variant, with its lower carbon content, offers enhanced resistance to sensitization during welding operations. Available in various forms such as elbows, tees, couplings, unions, and plugs, these fittings meet international standards including ASME, ASTM, and ANSI, making them suitable for high-pressure applications.
Stainless Steel 316/316L Forged Fittings are composed of 16–18% Chromium, 10–14% Nickel, and 2–3% Molybdenum, with the 316L version containing a maximum of 0.03% Carbon to prevent carbide precipitation. These fittings offer excellent mechanical properties such as a tensile strength of around 515 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and high ductility and toughness, even at sub-zero temperatures. The added molybdenum enhances resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. SS 316/316L forged fittings are also highly formable and durable under high pressure and temperature environments.
