With an elevated carbon content and roughly 23% chromium and 13% nickel, stainless steel 309H forged fittings improve oxidation resistance and high-temperature strength. The fittings show good elongation (up to 40%), a yield strength of about 205 MPa, and a tensile strength of about 550 MPa. This higher-carbon version of SS 309 is perfect for maintaining structural integrity at high temperatures and provides better creep resistance.
