Stainless Steel Half Hard / Hard Coils are generally produced from austenitic grades 304, 301, and 316. The alloys carry chromium (16–20%), nickel (7–13%), and molybdenum (in 316), providing improved corrosion resistance and mechanical strength. Half-hard and hard tempers are obtained by cold rolling without annealing, which provides elevated tensile strength (up to 1000 MPa) and lower ductility. These coils have very good surface quality, edge condition, and dimensional tolerance.
