Harsh Metalloys, based in Mumbai, India, has made a name for itself as a leading manufacturer and supplier of Stainless Steel 446 Coils. These coils are perfect for situations where extreme heat and corrosive environments are a concern. Crafted from ferritic stainless steel Grade 446, they boast impressive resistance to oxidation, sulfidation, and scaling, even at high temperatures. Available in various thicknesses, widths, and finishes, our coils comply with international standards like ASTM A240. Renowned for their thermal stability and cost-effectiveness, SS 446 coils find applications in industries such as power generation, petrochemicals, heat treatment, furnace construction, and industrial exhaust systems.
Stainless Steel 446 Coils are primarily made up of 23–27% Chromium, with very low levels of Carbon and minimal Nickel. This high Chromium content provides excellent resistance to scaling and corrosion in high-temperature settings. Typically, SS 446 coils have a tensile strength of about 485 MPa and a yield strength of around 275 MPa. While they may not be as formable as austenitic steels, they offer good dimensional stability and mechanical integrity when exposed to prolonged heat. Their strong performance in oxidizing and sulfidizing conditions makes them ideal for various industrial thermal and structural applications.
