Harsh Metalloys is a trusted manufacturer and supplier of Stainless Steel 316L Coils based in Mumbai, India. Known for their superior corrosion resistance and exceptional mechanical properties, these coils are widely used in highly corrosive environments. Grade 316L is the low-carbon version of 316, offering enhanced weldability and resistance to sensitization during high-temperature welding processes. We supply SS 316L coils in various finishes such as 2B, BA, No.4, and Mirror, with precise dimensions and tolerances. Harsh Metalloys ensures that all coils meet international standards like ASTM A240, providing reliable performance for critical industrial applications.
Stainless Steel 316L Coils are primarily composed of 16–18% Chromium, 10–14% Nickel, 2–3% Molybdenum, and a low carbon content (max 0.03%). The addition of molybdenum enhances corrosion resistance, especially against chlorides and acidic environments. With a tensile strength of approximately 485 MPa and yield strength around 170 MPa, SS 316L coils offer excellent formability and strength. They retain toughness at cryogenic temperatures and are resistant to stress corrosion cracking. The low carbon content minimizes carbide precipitation, making these coils ideal for welded structures and components.
