For demanding industrial applications, Harsh Metalloys, a top manufacturer and supplier in Mumbai, India, specialises in offering premium AWS Class E309LMo-16 welding electrodes. These electrodes are made to perform exceptionally well when joining stainless steels and other metals that are subjected to extreme environments. E309LMo-16 electrodes are well-known for their exceptional strength, weld quality, and resistance to corrosion, making them perfect for use in the petrochemical, power generation, and chemical processing sectors. Because Harsh Metalloys guarantees accurate production, adherence to international standards, and prompt delivery, it is a dependable partner for customers looking for strong and dependable welding consumables in India and abroad.
The controlled chemistry of AWS Class E309LMo-16 electrodes includes a low carbon content, roughly 23% chromium, 13% nickel, and 2.5% molybdenum. Their resistance to oxidation, intergranular corrosion, and high-temperature scaling is improved by this composition. Mechanically, these electrodes have a yield strength of 450 MPa, a tensile strength of about 550 MPa, and an elongation of about 30%. Excellent weldability and toughness are made possible by the low carbon content, which reduces carbide precipitation. Because of these characteristics, E309LMo-16 can be used to weld high-alloy steels and dissimilar metals that are exposed to corrosive and hot conditions.

These electrodes offer excellent resistance to oxidation and corrosion. They are available in 2.5 mm, 3.2 mm, and 4.0 mm diameters, designed for light-duty applications requiring minimal coating thickness.
These electrodes are known for superior corrosion resistance and are suitable for more demanding conditions. Sizes include 3.2 mm, 4.0 mm, and 5.0 mm, with a thicker coating that enhances durability and performance under heavy-duty usage.
These electrodes provide high resistance to corrosion and oxidation, featuring shielding to protect the weld from atmospheric contamination. Available in 2.5 mm, 3.2 mm, and 4.0 mm diameters, they are ideal for stable arc welding and consistent weld quality.
Our AWS Class E309LMo-16 electrodes are carefully packed in wooden boxes with waterproof protection and lifting points for ease of transport. To ensure full client satisfaction, each order is accompanied by crucial documents such as a commercial invoice, packing list, heat treatment chart and Material Test Certificates, providing full transparency and assurance of product quality.
AWS Class E309LMo-16 electrodes are widely used in overlay applications for improved corrosion resistance and in the welding of dissimilar metals, such as carbon steel to stainless steel. These electrodes are used to connect furnace components, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and piping systems in a variety of industries, including petrochemical, chemical processing, pulp and paper, and marine. Particularly in environments with chloride, their molybdenum addition offers additional defence against pitting and crevice corrosion. These electrodes also provide strong welds with little distortion or cracking, making them appropriate for use in the fabrication and repair of machinery that is subjected to high temperatures and harsh chemicals.
