Stainless Steel 904L Pipe Fittings are made from a non-stabilized austenitic stainless steel containing 19–23% Chromium, 23–28% Nickel, 4–5% Molybdenum, 1–2% Copper, and low carbon content. This alloy offers exceptional resistance to strong reducing acids, such as sulfuric acid, and resists pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. 904L fittings have a tensile strength of around 71 ksi (490 MPa), yield strength of about 31 ksi (220 MPa), and elongation of 35%. The fittings are non-magnetic, weldable, and retain excellent ductility and toughness even in extreme conditions, making them suitable for high-integrity piping systems.
