Harsh Metalloys, located in Mumbai, India, stands out as a leading manufacturer and supplier of high-quality Stainless Steel Elbows. These crucial components are designed to redirect the flow in piping systems. Crafted from top-notch stainless steel grades like 304, 316, 310, 321, and 904L, our elbows are celebrated for their remarkable corrosion resistance, strength, and precise dimensions. They come in various angles (usually 45°, 90°, and 180°), schedules, and radii (both short and long), and comply with international standards such as ASTM A403 and ASME B16.9, making them perfect for industrial, commercial, and marine applications.
Stainless Steel Elbows are generally made from austenitic grades such as 304, 316, and 904L, featuring Chromium content between 18–25% and Nickel content from 8–22%. The 316 and 904L grades also incorporate Molybdenum (2–4%) to boost resistance against chlorides and acids. These elbows provide tensile strength ranging from 485–620 MPa and yield strength between 170–310 MPa. They maintain their mechanical integrity even under high pressure and temperature, offer excellent weldability, and resist oxidation, scaling, and corrosion—making them ideal for challenging chemical and environmental conditions.

The entire Manufacturing Process of Stainless Steel Elbow is under close scrutiny for the Quality. This is the reason for the presence of quality inspectors for ensuring that no compromise has been done with the product’s integrity leading clients to its best performance. All such elbows are manufactured precisely according to all the standard norms of the manufacturing process. The entire grade of Stainless Steel Elbow has been manufactured following national as well as international quality standards. Furthermore, quality controllers perform very rigorous quality tests to ensure the reliability and durability of the Stainless Steel Elbows. So, the quality of stainless steel elbows is strictly monitored through the various stages of the manufacturing process. Quality inspectors are available for all the compromises in the integrity of the product to lead to the best performance for the clients. All those elbows are manufactured accurately according to all standards.
Yes, stainless steel elbows can be welded using methods like TIG, MIG, or stick welding. Proper technique, filler material, and heat management ensure strong, corrosion-resistant joints.
Stainless steel elbows resist corrosion due to chromium content forming a protective oxide layer. However, exposure to harsh conditions like chlorides or acidic environments may cause localized corrosion, such as pitting or crevice corrosion.
Yes, stainless steel elbows are suitable for natural gas applications due to their durability, corrosion resistance, and ability to handle high pressure and temperature, ensuring safe and reliable performance.
Stainless steel elbows made from austenitic grades (e.g., 304, 316) are generally non-magnetic. However, cold working or certain ferritic or martensitic grades may exhibit slight magnetic properties.
Stainless Steel Elbows are widely used to redirect the flow of liquids, gases, or slurries in pipeline systems. Industries such as oil & gas, petrochemical, food processing, water treatment, pharmaceuticals, and shipbuilding rely on these elbows for smooth directional transitions. Long radius elbows are commonly used in low-pressure applications, while short radius elbows are preferred for compact piping layouts. These elbows are suitable for both above-ground and underground installations, offering longevity and reliability in corrosive and high-temperature conditions. Their hygienic, rust-resistant properties also make them ideal for cleanroom and sanitary piping systems in sensitive environments.
