Stainless Steel 201 Stud Bolts are made up of Chromium (16–18%), Nickel (3.5–5.5%), Manganese (5.5–7.5%), Carbon (≤0.15%), Silicon (≤1%), Phosphorus (≤0.060%), and Sulfur (≤0.030%). These bolts offer impressive tensile strength (520–750 MPa), yield strength (~275 MPa), and an elongation of around 40%. The high manganese content allows for a reduction in nickel while still keeping those desirable austenitic properties. Although they aren’t as corrosion-resistant as 304 or 316 grades, SS 201 performs admirably in indoor or dry settings.
