410 Stainless Steel fasteners are produced from a martensitic stainless steel with 11.5–13.5% chromium and controlled carbon content, possessing high mechanical strength and moderate corrosion resistance. They have a tensile strength of about 450–650 MPa and a yield strength of about 275 MPa, based on the heat treatment. SS 410 fasteners are ferromagnetic in nature and show high hardness and wear resistance. They can be heat-treated as well, increasing their strength and toughness.
