Harsh Metalloys is a renowned manufacturer and supplier of Stainless Steel 316/316L Channels based in Mumbai, India, serving both domestic and international markets with premium-grade stainless steel structural components. These channels are engineered from austenitic stainless steel grades 316 and 316L, offering exceptional resistance to corrosion, pitting, and oxidation, especially in marine and chloride-rich environments. 316L, the low-carbon version, minimizes carbide precipitation during welding, enhancing its weldability. Available in various sizes and dimensions, our SS 316/316L channels are manufactured to meet ASTM and ASME standards and are ideal for structural, architectural, and high-strength industrial applications.
Stainless Steel 316/316L Channels consist of approximately 16–18% Chromium, 10–14% Nickel, and 2–3% Molybdenum, with 316L having a lower carbon content for improved weldability. These channels offer a tensile strength of around 515 MPa, a yield strength of 205 MPa, and excellent elongation and toughness. The presence of molybdenum enhances resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. With outstanding durability, formability, and mechanical performance across a wide temperature range, SS 316/316L channels are reliable for both structural integrity and long-term service in harsh conditions.
