Harsh Metalloys is a reputed manufacturer and supplier of Stainless Steel 316/316L Angles based in Mumbai, India. Known for their exceptional corrosion resistance and strength, these stainless steel angles are widely used in structural and architectural applications. Grade 316 offers excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments, while 316L features a lower carbon content, providing improved weldability and resistance to sensitization. Our SS 316/316L angles are fabricated in compliance with global standards like ASTM A276 and are available in a variety of sizes and finishes, catering to diverse industrial and marine construction requirements.
Stainless Steel 316/316L Angles are composed primarily of chromium (16–18%), nickel (10–14%), and molybdenum (2–3%). The presence of molybdenum enhances their corrosion resistance, especially in chloride-rich and marine environments. Grade 316 has higher tensile strength and creep resistance, while 316L has reduced carbon content, making it ideal for welding without the risk of carbide precipitation. These angles offer tensile strengths around 515 MPa and yield strengths of approximately 205 MPa. They maintain excellent formability, toughness, and strength even at cryogenic and elevated temperatures.
