Stainless Steel XM19 Stud Bolts are made from a nitrogen-strengthened austenitic stainless steel alloy with a composition of approximately 20–23% Chromium, 11–13% Nickel, 4–6% Manganese, 1.5–3% Molybdenum, and 0.2–0.4% Nitrogen. This composition provides high mechanical strength and outstanding corrosion resistance. XM19 offers tensile strength above 125 ksi, yield strength around 100 ksi, and elongation of 35–40%, making it much stronger than standard stainless steels like 304 or 316. The alloy retains toughness at low temperatures and remains non-magnetic even after cold working, making it highly suitable for demanding bolting applications.
