Stainless Steel 436 Bolts consist of 16–18% chromium, 0.75–1.25% molybdenum, and low carbon content along with titanium stabilization to enhance weldability and resistance to intergranular corrosion. Being a ferritic stainless steel, SS 436 has very good oxidation resistance and increased corrosion resistance in acidic and chloride environments over the regular 430 grade.
