Harsh Metalloys is a renowned manufacturer and supplier of Stainless Steel 316/316L Flat Bars based in Mumbai, India. Our SS 316/316L flat bars are crafted using top-grade raw materials and advanced manufacturing processes to meet both national and international standards. These bars are known for their exceptional corrosion resistance, strength, and durability, especially in harsh environments. SS 316 contains molybdenum for improved resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, while 316L offers low carbon content for superior weldability. Available in various sizes and finishes, our flat bars are ideal for structural, architectural, and marine applications.
Stainless Steel 316/316L Flat Bars are primarily composed of Chromium (16–18%), Nickel (10–14%), and Molybdenum (2–3%), with 316L having a maximum carbon content of 0.03%. This composition enhances resistance to chloride-induced corrosion and intergranular attack. The flat bars offer a tensile strength of around 515 MPa and yield strength of 205 MPa, with excellent elongation and toughness. SS 316L flat bars exhibit outstanding weldability, making them ideal for use in welded constructions without risk of carbide precipitation during welding, maintaining structural integrity even under high-stress conditions.
